These Terms govern requests and bookings made with Eastern Passage.
Eastern Passage arranges private traditional Chinese ritual services that are physically prepared and carried out in China. The service is cultural and spiritual in nature. It does not replace commercial judgment, negotiation, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, real-estate advice, due diligence, or other practical action.
You must be at least 18 years old to book a service. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or require us to accept a request. Each request is reviewed before acceptance, and we may decline a request where it is outside the service scope, cannot be fulfilled responsibly, or conflicts with applicable law or policy.
Fees are communicated privately after a request is reviewed. A booking is confirmed only after written acceptance and successful payment through the payment method or invoice we provide. Any taxes or third-party charges shown at checkout are handled as stated by the relevant payment provider.
After an accepted case is booked, we may request information needed to prepare the service, including the client's full name, date of birth, current residential address, a recent photograph, and case-specific details. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for having the authority to provide any information or image relating to another person.
Ritual preparation and performance are scheduled in China. The full process typically takes around 120 minutes from preparation through completion and involves multiple participants working together. Exact timing, sequence, personnel, and materials may vary by case and operational circumstances. Any requested date or time is subject to confirmation.
If you need to change timing or case details, contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to practitioner availability and the stage of preparation. Once personalized materials or practitioner scheduling have begun, some changes may not be possible without additional cost or rescheduling.
Before personalized preparation or practitioner scheduling begins, a client may request cancellation and a refund of the service fee, less any non-refundable payment-processing charges where applicable. Once personalized preparation, material preparation, or practitioner scheduling has begun, payments are generally non-refundable because the service is custom and time-reserved. If we are unable to fulfill an accepted and paid service, we will refund the amount paid for the unperformed service.
After fulfillment, the client receives the agreed private digital completion package. This normally includes selected photographs, documentation of client-specific prepared materials, and a short process video, typically around 15 seconds. The package documents fulfillment; it is not intended to provide continuous or minute-by-minute recording of the ritual.
Results in the client's professional or personal circumstances depend on many factors outside our control. Completion of the ritual service is the service being purchased.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or speculative losses arising from a client's business, transaction, decision, or expectations about an external outcome. Where liability cannot legally be excluded, aggregate liability relating to a booked service will not exceed the amount actually paid for that service, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
These Terms are subject to applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the client's jurisdiction. Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties should first attempt in good faith to resolve a dispute by written communication.
